Upon announcing she was leaving home at 18 to live and study overseas in the States,Mahin's parents nearly both had simultaneous heart attacks and begged her to stay in Iran.Marry a nice Iranian boy and settle.But Mahin was firm she wanted to pursue a different course then,one her parents designed for her.It took months but she eventually scrapped together the money and landed in America.It was an eye opener for her,this fresh eyed- bright 18 year old.But she wasn't naive,making sure she thoroughly researched as much as she could before she just left her live in Iran behind.

many years later,she is settled in the States properly,has a job,a dorm on campus,friends and of course emails and video calls her parents often.She has regretted the choice she made to move.But her mother still pesters her to find a nice boy.She's found several who where attractive,until they opened their mouths and said something that brought out her intense need to debate.She agrees with her older Sister Armita,if she hadn't pursued acting,she would have definetly run full pelt into politics.
