Losing your parents when you're a child is hard. Losing your parents as a teenager is harder. At least, to Alice. She has the memories now, memories to fuel her grief when she's alone. Often she feels very alone and her sadness seemed to attract...someone else. An entity who often comes to comfort her when she's in distress. They're bonded somehow. She isn't sure how, but she knows this shadow will always be there to relieve the ache in her chest. The small fortune her parents left behind has her set to get through at least two years at the University after graduation, after that she has no idea what her life will be like. What she takes comfort in for now is the Shadow.
