Charlie is a simple man. In spite of the troubles he faced growing up; a mother who was more concerned about her next fix or screw than whether or not he ate; a father who...well, he didn’t know his father; Charlie let those things push him forward to becoming a better man. And that’s what he did. He got married young, straight out of university, and landed a job as the school guidance counselor at Rose Point Academy quite quickly.
That being said, his past is coming back to haunt him. The reason he didn’t know who his father was, something his mother let on, was that his father had a medical condition that claimed his life when Charlie was still a boy. And, sadly, it’s come to light that the medical is hereditary. For being a simple man, his life isn’t simple. But he’s going to go on doing the best he can, help as many students as he can, and say that he lived his life well.
