The eldest son of Joshua and Hester Anders, born 1948.His father was a tailor, hobbyist botanist and former RAF pilot in ww2,stationed in Italy
and his mother,a former truck driver in ww2,turned ice trucker also an amateur boxer and avid butterfly collector.
Oswald's passion for science manifested young,as did his high intelligence, and his parents heartily encouraged such ventures and the expansion of his mind.As they did in his two younger brothers Paulbert and Quentin. Both of whom went on to become highly respected in their choose fields of Medicine and Journalism, respectively.
Every field of science intrigued young Oswald and he ate up every scrap of information he could find, earning perfect scores on every test and essay he was made to write constantly questioning his teachers, stretching the limits of current knowledge.
As a teenager he enrolled in university young and of course pursued as many science courses as he could.
by 17 he was top of most every science elective possible out pacing his much older peers through hard work,a pinch of healthy curiosity and natural sharp intellect.
The rest of his schooling passed quickly and by 21,it was clear after a couple dozen papers, money grants for projects which produced positively exceptional results.Oswald was bound for great things.
His demand in private sectors, think tanks and government projects grew and grew. And Oswald loved the challenge each presented,as did the exciting debate and like-minded creativity of his peers on such endeavours.
On one particular classified project in his early 30s,two people sparked his interest in a way none had before.Marti Jansen,a dutch scientist and her friend and frequent lab partner Basil Vellet,A maltese-Swiss scientist.
The trio grew close during the project and the two more they worked on in the years that followed. The three did everything together, lived such close lives-they developed an almost telepathic sense, they were so intune- which people around them attributed to scientific experimentation.Following a lab accident in the group's Genevan lab,and Basil's death. The project they had worked on for five years was permanently sealed.
Oswald and Marti split and both travelled to opposite ends of the world. They apparently haven't had any communication in over three decades.Well, officially it's believed...
No longer did Oswald wish to pursue work for the government, believing the cost to high, and that he could use his time and intelligence elsewhere.
He rejected offers from every single one.Whatever happened at his lab with Basil that day is a dark, persistent memory that weights on him.
He took up the position available at Rose Point university and has been the resident mad scientist/the best teacher of the subject they've had in decades, ever since.
The rumors of everything from the concoction of LSD,amongst other...substances,experimentation into wildly outlandish "fringe" science, ghost sighting, attempts to contact other planes/worlds,the constant stream of smoke, unusual smells and ...oddly shaped packages piled up at all hours of the day outside his door and strange lights in the labs at night. Are just rumor?
The rumor of the pet octopus is actually true though. As is the fact Oswald creates and decorates little wooden ship models and displays them in Jacques tank.He says the octopus likes practicing his best Kraken impression.More model ships of various designs are welcome.
