Elloren didn't want to go to Rose Point Academy. If she'd had the choice, she wouldn't have picked any boarding school. However, after six months of therapy and multiple failed attempts to run away from home, her father told her Rose Point was happening, whether she liked it or not. He was at his wit's end, he was scared that she would end up getting into another accident and he didn't want to lose another loved one, especially not his baby.
So, Elloren was shipped to Rose Point, while her brother, Theo, transferred to the university. Against their late mother's wishes.
Her parents and uncle were alumni, and she expected to hear stories about them, some embarrassing, hopefully some flattering. But she didn't expect to hear that her mother was harassed all eight years that she attended. The ridiculous part was that the people harassing her were ghosts.
Ren has been at Rose Point for a week and her skepticism is beginning to fade. The school has a weird atmosphere to it, the classes feel overcrowded, and she constantly feels like someone is watching her.
Theo already informed her that the campus used to be an asylum, but neither are aware of the fact that their mother's unfortunate haunting was caused by a disgruntled deceased family member who was admitted to the asylum. And Ren has the same treatment to look forward to, all thanks to her striking resemblance to their mother.
